Huggies Pull-Ups Night Time: Take ‘em or Leave ‘em
I have a heavy wetter in my household, and several years of urine soaked diapers have made me a bit cynical about the supposed value of night time diapers. Are they really worth the bit extra you pay and the hassle of having two separate sets of diapers? In some cases, I think they absolutely are. But in others, I’m not so sure. Unfortunately, this is the case with the Huggies Pull-ups for Night Time.
Pull-Ups Rock!
Don’t get me wrong, I love pull-ups. They work so much like underwear with those handy tabs on the sides that you can fasten and unfasten as needed. In many regards, I find the Huggies Pull-Ups for daytime use far preferable to the pull-ups created by other major brands, including Pampers. The pull-ups have a very real purpose for toddlers – giving them a set between diapers and underpants. Personally, I found them easier to handle as well, especially on a toddler ready to get going and unwilling to succumb to a diaper change.
Pull-Ups for Night Time, Not So Much
As much as I love pull-ups, I can’t say the same about the night time variety of the diapers. I really don’t find them to be absorbent enough for nights and I wound up with leaks, no matter which size I used. The night time pull-ups did hold more than the day time ones, but just not very much more. With a heavy wetter, I needed super absorbency, and the Huggies Pull-ups Night Time just didn’t cut it.
Others with babies that don’t wet as much during the night might not have any issues at all with the pull-ups and they do have a nice value psychologically for the little ones already in pull-ups. It doesn’t make sense to change their routine if you can help it. But days and nights work differently in my household at least, and there was never any question at bedtime when we put the old-fashioned truly absorbent night time diapers on. Those regular diapers worked. Huggies Pull-Ups Night Time unfortunately did not – at least where containment was concerned. They are great for being consistent with children who happen to not be heavy wetters.
Huggies Pull-ups Night Time are available online and in grocery stores starting around $12.
